Homemade special tools for Hermetic pumps
After a sudden influx of Hermetic pumps for servicing, we decided to make our own special tools.
A call to the factory revealed that they did not have any special tools that would make servicing easier.
To remove the carbon bearings from inside the stator, they recommend using a slide hammer (if that's what it's called in english), where you have a weight on a rod that you use to beat the bearings out.
More often than not, using a tool like this breaks the threads in the bearings and you end up having to break the bearing to pieces inside the stator, while being very careful not to damage the stator cover.
So this is what we came up with:

Re: Homemade special tools for Hermetic pumps
We used the above way to make sure the bearing was properly entered, before we switched to the new special tool.
Then we made a tool case with all the tools we would need to service a Hermetic pump, so it would be easier to bring everything from the workshop to a site
