TRANE Help please
Guys
I am trying to identify an old TRANE remote air cooled condensing unit but cannot seem to find anything on the internet.
All I need is to know is what the unit is rated for total cooling duty.
It's a twin circuit machine as follows:
ERAUF289BRBXX1XA4M1Nx1X2
Serial EKG4466
Year 1996
R22
Thanks in advance

Re: TRANE Help please
Hi Frank.
I tried to find any relevant info within my archives.
But mine are either to early or later stuff.
Sorry I tried.

Re: TRANE Help please
By the unit model, i guess the capacity is 289KW.
Does it make sense to you?

Re: TRANE Help please
Frank, the closest I can get is a RAUF209R, which has a capacity of 279.9kW at 32°C ambient and 5°SST.
I can't find a 289B. Are you sure of the data?
Chemi, the numbers aren't necessarily the nominal capacity with Trane equipment, unfortunately.

Re: TRANE Help please
Thanks Guys
I don't think that the machine is in excess of 250kW, based on it's physical size. It's about 2.2m wide, 2.5m long. The liquid line on each circuit is 7/8th and suction is 2+5/8th. There are 4 compressors but as I didn't take the acoustic housing off (it was covered in crap and I wasn't in overalls) I didn't get the comp nameplate details.
I have a photo of the machine nameplate but it just shows the numbers as I've put in post #1

Re: TRANE Help please
Thanks but no luck,
As I see it you have two options, to check the compressors models or drop an email to Trane Golbey for the capacity.

Re: TRANE Help please
I'm 1 step in front of you Chemi.....emailed Trane today asking them to quote for a replacement.
Once the quote us received, I should be able to determine the rating from the new model ☺

Re: TRANE Help please
Frank,
Your client may also mysteriously receive a quote for the replacement, but at least you will have more information.Mobile A/C at its best, see avatar.
