My Favourite way to Travel!
The M5 recently.
For those not of my shores it's the main Motorway that runs from the middle of England to the South Western tip (Lands End.)Attachment 13834

Ha you could say most main motorways in the UK look like that, the transport road network is just a joke most of the cars have one occupant you bet.

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
haha, my wife (from Sydney, Australia) always tell me off when I say "Aw crap, stuck in rush hour here" (<-- in rural norway) and for me that is having 10 cars in front of me however, car number 5 get's very nervous when nearing the green light and always slows down juuuust in case it might turn yellow while he is on the white line

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
Sorry eggs.
If I was self employed I would consider it my friend!
But as I am PAYE I have to consider the consequences of moonlighting.
Plus I am monitored by others from my company.
Maybe there is someone a little nearer?
It would be almost 5hrs driving and a over 200mls roundtrip for me.
Hopefully someone will Help?

Oh dear old bear,
Thank you for confirming what I suspected ever since the day I first set my foot on this godforsaken island.
You Brits actually likes standing still!

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
Hi Grizzly,
you have those big long car parks as well.
As for Sydney the M5 tolled motorway stops regularly usually if I am late getting to airport.Last edited by Magoo; 31-07-2015 at 11:46 PM. Reason: big fingers

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
Who You Calling "Yokel" Richard?
There are some very enterprising and resourceful engineers down this way!
They have to be because wholesalers and supliers are few and literally far between.
Not as bad as our colleagues in Scotland though , I guess!!
Charlie obviously has more skill base than He lets on, on the forum.
No-one is going nowhere today the whole Motorway/ A road system is nightmarish!
Dammed school holidays again!

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
If only I was more local RB.
A huge percentage of my work is in Devon and Cornwall, when not in Somerset or Dorset that is!
2 different Breweries this week, sadly no freebies nowadays!
Who looks after the big one (Courage?) near you?
I think if my memory serves me correctly J&E Hall used to, at least when I worked for them they did.
But that was a long time ago.

The bad news was one of me engineers was in the traffic jam never mind I agree with Griz about wholesalers our nearest to our depot is hour and half travel u do tend to get good at keeping things ticking along

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
Why a Tractor Charlie.
I live beside the M5, literally!
At weekends I can listen to the traffic crawling along usually Northbound. But southbound does not move much faster.
I am on call and dreading the phone call!
I hope the trip was not too bad?

Re: My Favourite way to Travel!
Because I could drive over the cars in front of me ! I don't mind them bringing there money but God I wish some had a slightly harder right foot fire up the county and let's go !
