Purchasing a 12 V DC Refrigerant Compressor
hey, can anyboly help in selecting a 12V DC refrigerant compressor? Can you please tell me the parameters which are essential while selecting a compressor?
Please tell the name of company who manufactures 12 V DC refrigerant compressor.
I need a compressor on the basis of this properties.
System voltage= 12v
> Usable cooling volume = 5 liters to 16 liters
> Refrigerant used= R134a or R600 (or a mixture of R600a & R290)
> Refrigerant temp. = -22 C to 10 C
> RPM = 2000 to 3000
Temprature of refrigerant which flows out of compressor : -3 C
temprature of refrigerant which flows into comprssor : 1 C
pull down time of box : 40 to 60 minutes

Re: Purchasing a 12 V DC Refrigerant Compressor
What about a standard 120V refrigeration compressor and an inverter? It would work better if you modify the inverter to do a V/Hz soft start and at that point, you could even turn it into a variable frequency drive.

Re: Purchasing a 12 V DC Refrigerant Compressor
"Temprature of refrigerant which flows out of compressor : -3 C, temprature of refrigerant which flows into comprssor 1 C". This compressor doesn't exist. It comes in at 1°C and leaves at +/- 50 to 70°C.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
