What is SA switch?
Hello guys, I have a question about the SA switch. It connects with the solenoid valve (2-way valve) for fan coil units and act according to the operation of room thermostat. Do you have any idea about what is SA switch?

Re: What is SA switch?
it's a switch made in south Africa! No I'm kidding, it is usualy a proofing switch for the fan, sail air switch
basicaly it tells the system the fan is indeed opperating and more importently that A: the fan is opperating and B: the air is moving! No air movement the switch will not registerNow in Redvers Sask.

Re: What is SA switch?
In the wiring diagram shown it would appear that SA as shown is an activation or indicator signal to show when the motorised three port solenoid valve or two port solenoid valves have fully opened. At a guess, these are probably motorised valves as opposed to true solenoid valves. The drawing appears to depict a water filled heating/cooling system.

Re: What is SA switch?
SA = Snap Action. Air pressure switches are just one type of snap action switch.

Re: What is SA switch?
Personally I'd go for sensor ambient (room sensor) after all thats what will dictate the operation of the valve.
Cheers

Re: What is SA switch?
Why not "Solenoid activated" as the coils of ZJ1 etc are in parallel with the solenoid valves, thereby giving an feedback that the solenoid has been activated.

Re: What is SA switch?
It is not a switch,
More likely some indicator or currant protection.
