For all the time it takes I would pull the charge. It should be 404a but depending on age it could be 502. As far as mechanically opening the valves, a magnet on each liquid line solenoid should do it. I like the three point, it pulls a better and faster vacuum. If you have an extra port on your pump, hook the receiver directly to your vacuum pump. If there still is shraders on compressor I'd yank them too, with service valves they are redundant.
Thanks for your help. There is no way I'd put that muh trust in a check valve that's for sure. Another stupid question. Is there anywhere in particular I should reclaim from?
