    Atlas copco dryer



    Hi
    got a dryer that has hgbv solenoid on dew point was going too high,was advised to remove valve and dp would stay at 3.9oc which it has. Problem is unit tripping on high pressure occasionally when you put valve back on unit ok for while and then dp starts to rise .any advise woul be welcome , thanks

    Wonder if system has been overcharged with refrigerant to the point it backs up in the condenser and causes the hp switch to trip. Assuming the switch is tripping at the correct pressure.
    Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

    Do not change the unit, simply recover the refrigerant, replace drier, vacuum and recharge.
    I had the same problem a few times and this prosidure seemed to correct everything.
