    Noisy Daikin in Heating Mode.

Hello has anyone encountered a problem with a Daikin heat pump split a/c unit that appears to work happily in cooling mode, but when in Heat mode it's ineffective and the compressor sounds like a bag of spanners falling down the stairs.
Its not short of Gas nor is it the 4 way valve, Daikin Tech suggest a new compressor and exp. valve but this seems a bit excessive.

    Any hints cheers.

    Cheers Sedgy,
fan speed fine, it shows signs of low refrigerant as very poor Refrigeration Effect although in this case it aint Heating. When I check the indoor unit coil temp this is very low and the heat is lost very quickly in the coil.

Need to know system pressures really, then we can work out if its a high or low pressure problem. If a compressor runs ok in cooling then why wouldn't it in heating? The actual operating pressures at the compressor are very similar in heating or cooling.
