Condenser Fan speed control W/O phase cutting
Hello all has anyone seen or used a condenser fan speed control that runs off pressure Not temp. that doesn't use phase cut technology to vary single phase motor speed? all my research has come back with phase cut technology i.e Johnson controls P66

Re: Condenser Fan speed control W/O phase cutting
Thanks Chemi-cool yeah I saw though one but its still using the phase cut technology. I have an electrical engineer working with me and we are confident in the fact we can design a controller that can use a Johnson Controls P-499 pressure transducer to drive an EC motor I'll post any results we come up with. Thanks

EC motors are DC although there may be an AC-DC stage built in. Speed control of these motors is often with intelligent RPM sensing using the hall sensors. Speed control on the rotor voltage.
