Daikin VRV reset?

Hi guys need to replace an indoor fan on a daikin vrv system and have read a few threads about reseting the system (holding in a reset button), is there a technique to reseting these or is it just a case of killing the outdoor power for 30 secs then switching it on again?? Last time i worked on a VRV was over 3 years ago as all my AC work is split systems, thanks in advance!!

you shouldn't need to do a reset, knock the indoor unit off on the fused spurr, swap the fan the system will probably show an alarm but should reset its self when you power it back up if it doesn't then just reset it via the controller

Thanks mate, wasnt sure if it would bring up a comms error and didnt think they reset themselves when it picks up the indoor, thanks again!!
