    Hotpoint FFA71 Diverter Valve Replacement

    Hi,
I have to replace the diverter valve on hte above fridge/freezer, the original was an Aweco K3 01 (white plastic block with t-piece config) the replacement supplied is completly different, the two outlets come out of the sameside, they are different lenghths but have no identification to indicate which goes to the fridge evap coil and which goes to the freezer evap coil.
Anyone out ther have any ideas? also would you know which thermostat controls the compressor and which controls the solenoid for the diverter valve?
Trying to get a piping schematic and wiring diagram has proved impossible, can find them anywhere on the net.

Which port is energised for cooling, there are three pipes on it, the common inlet from the condenser copil, then two outlets, one is already open in the de-energised state, does this one go to the freezer and the normally closed go to the fridge?
