daikin j6 alarm
Hi all. have a j6 alarm occouring daily on daikin vrv 2,system resets and runs fine want could be causing this.thanks.

This is a heat exchanger sensor error on the condensing unit. Probably a faulty sensor. Check the sensor resistance against the Daikin chart.

Is that R4T or R5T sensor, do not have daikin chart,what should resistance be.thanks

Byrne,
When these faults occur (and allow you to run the system for awhile before it trip again) what normally have happened is that the silicone protecting the thermistor has cracked and are allowing water/humidity to enter. You can measure the resistance one afternoon only to be called to the system again the day after...
As all the sensors in the outdoor unit is the same age and they are relatively cheap, probably less than your time to attend site just once, why not replace all 4(?, I don't have the manual in front of me either) pipe/coil sensors?

Yes, it is R4T and at 10*C it should be about 40k Ohm.
