Whirlpool K40 Ice machine
I have a K40 ice machine & it is making ice OK but the bin is filling up with water & leaking out. The ice seems to be melting inside the bin, any ideas what would cause this.
Cheers

Re: Whirlpool K40 Ice machine
A few things to try first.
Is the water valve shutting off the water after the harvest cycle and also check that the main bin drain is clear
Is the drain plug water tight in the pump sump, if you reach in the machine it is on the bottom of the sump on the right hand side of the bin if you get close and at the door height you can see the drain plug.
Is the drain tray under the evaporator installed so that the water runs back into the sump.
If the ice is melting this also suggests that you may still be getting water from the mains via a defective water valve.Location, United Kingdom

Re: Whirlpool K40 Ice machine
remove drain outlet and blow up drain water from hose pipe preferable your drain is blocked
