whats PSI should condenser fan come on at ?

i have a R22 system and the outside condensing unit has 2 fans 1 allways runs and the other is operated by a (fan pressure switch) its getting up to 260 psi on the condenser discharge.

My question is at what pressure should a FPS (fan pressure swith) kick in at to turn on the second fan? i didnt have time to test the switch yet but it would be really nice to know exactly when to expect in to come on...... ?????

for a fridge condenser normally by 240psi -check the calibration of the switch, test for power in and out through the switch, see if u can manually spin the fan to check it isnt siezed.-hp switch normally cuts out the system at 28bar,if its an air con condenser then theres usually a stat outside the condenser to stop the operation of a fan in low ambient,if so hold the bulb to see if it starts

For a unit with 2 fans I'd have the fan at the condensor outlet on with the compressor and the other one controlled by the switch. On at 45*C off at 30*C or there abouts.

    Cheers,
    Andy.
Health and safety first..........unless I'm in a hurry.
