Sporlan Expansion Valve
Hello everyone,
This is my first post, so I hope I won't be getting too much out of the subject.
I am having trouble identifying two Sporlan expansion valves which I will be replacing with Danfoss. I have to replace with Danfoss as I have a time limit for delivering the work.
I managed to get the tonnage for both valves except for the thermostatic charges. Would anybody be able to help me with identifying the thermostatic charges C, L and Z?
It has already been 2 days and since I posted my request to Parker and still no reply.
Thank you.

Sporlan TEV documents here, see doc 10-10 and 10-9.
EG, C charge for 50°F to -10°F
Z charge for 0°F to -40°F

Re: Sporlan Expansion Valve
The L charge is temperature dependent and not so responsive to pressure change. It is intended for use in larger ammonia systems with multiple evaporators where a change in the flow through one expansion valve has almost no effect on suction pressure.

Re: Sporlan Expansion Valve
Thanks a lot, it was for an ammonia application, but single circuit. It contained about 43 individual circuits. We had them ordered from Parker and it took about 3 months to arrive.

Ashwin123,
Do you mind giving us the details on the Parker Tx valves for ammonia?
Happens to be that I'm looking for Tx valves to repalce old Sporlan Tx valves
Thanks, Josue
