Re: Hobbies
I like classic cars and trucks, i own a 1970's lorry that i am getting road worthy again (very slowly...)
I have a half share in a horse which i don't really help out with as much as i should...
I guess posting on here is a hobby of sorts
I am studying buddhism too, hence my avatar and screen name, i like knowing how things work and for me buddhism teaches me how my mind and ego work.

Re: Hobbies
my neighbour also has a 70's truck he swears will be road worthy 1 day, the thing hasn't been worked on in years, the thing is with a hgv from the past they are very hard to get through a mot as they have to pass saftey checks that are law now that wasnt back then, is this the case?

Re: Hobbies
I'm hoping to get mine registered as a fairground vehicle as it will be for towing a 1930's noahs ark ride, fairground trucks can be exempt from tax and mot and driver licensing requirements. (I would have mine mot'd though) I have heard that vosa are seeking to change this loop hole, gits.
There are pleanty of old trucks on the road with mots so it shouldn't be a problem to get one to pass, and lets face it if it doesn't it shouldn't be on the road anyway!

Re: Hobbies
I have a passion for photography. I own a couple of DSLR's With various lenses
Slowly learning Photoshop but that means spending hours in front of the computer which tends to make my eyes tired. A very time consuming hobby but well satisfying. Great for stress relief.

The second world war with emphasis on the European theatre and leading figures in the Third reich I just got back from two weeks in Bertchesgaden visiting the sites there. My wife assured me she found it most "interesting" and I`m not at all a geek...Hmmmmm.

Re: Hobbies
Used to fly model aircraft, compete in sailing events, chase the ball in squash and talk my mouth off on C.B. radio. Also went ferral pig hunting with an SKS semi auto(7.62 by 39mm shells) untill the Port Arthur murders forced us to hand in our weapons. Now i'm considering joining a local sports shooters club.

Re: Hobbies
I quite enjoy a really good glass of vintage red wine (Lager) whilst i am dinning with my well to do friends on a friday evening (Local Pub), ensureing not to be hung over for the days exscursion to look at the local wild life (Woman) during the day and then riting back to the club for more tasting of the better foods on offer (donner kebab) So in short I drink, fish, chase woman, and attempt to fix fridges!

Re: Hobbies
No doubt about it, the only common interest among us is that we all sit in front of a screen every so often... typing replies on R.E. Most nights i'm on the couch with a beer watching satellite tv, usually history channel / discovery or sifi. Ever watched Deadliest Catch or Ice Pilots?
