    Mitsi heavy

    Hi All

Just wondered how many of you work on Mitsi Heavy.
I would appreciate any feedback regards reliability, quality, tech support etc.
We have been loyal to mitsi Elec for many years but I'm afraid the discounts aren't there and we all have to compete.
They have a take it or leave it sort of attitude, but the kit is first class.
However as a very reputable contractor quality equipment is paramount.
    Any thoughts/comments greatly appreciated.

    PP

Good quality (not as good as mitsi elec)
tech support is also good (01359270888 ask for mitsi tech
    )
easy to install but dont assume it's power to outdoor installed the first one to find it was power to indoor (should have read the install manual)
overall a good mid range unit oh and some of the ceiling cassetes have a micro switch that shuts the unit down when you drop the cover

    avoid 5kw unit.

Src50za Lol i still remember the model number!

When i was working for the Mits Heavy warranty agent we always carried an outdoor board for the src50za model.

The rest in their range are fine, but if you can afford the higher cost go Daikin

    Re: Mitsi heavy

As a specifier I would not be keen to use them. We have just had an issue on a project where the installation is 5 years old. A chip in the unit is no longer available. As a result the whole system needs to be replaced. This is at substantial cost.
If you had this situation with a car, can you imagine the uproar. In my view MHI should provide a new system FOC or support their product properly
