Manitowoc Ice Machine flood back
Have an issue with a Manitowoc Ice Machine SDO452A, unit was flooding back to compressor so we changed the TXV, no luck still getting flood back. So we changed the Harvest valve with no luck. Pressures are within factory settings and low side will drop slightly when running. No ice formation on evap. plate during freeze cycle. Takes about an hour to make ice. Any help would be great.

Re: Manitowoc Ice Machine flood back
Have checked the ice plate and all is in perfect order, unit is only about 3 years old. Might try another TXV and make sure nothing got trapped inside since it is oriented upside down on this model.

Re: Manitowoc Ice Machine flood back
Have you weighed in correct amount of refrigerant ? as most likely cause would be overcharged system. Should not take one hour to make ice if charged correctly.
