Calculate Operating Expense on Walk In's
I am trying to some information for a large customer of mine who is doing an evaluation of the expense to pull a walk in cooler back down after they leave the door open for an hour. We know that the temperature is averaging up 4 degrees during this period. How much does it cost to pull back down?

Re: Calculate Operating Expense on Walk In's
Measure your system running amperage for the time it takes the cabinet to drop the 4 degrees and multiply it by the cost per kWh
Example:
Time taken, say 3 hours
Current draw, say 10Amps
Amps x Voltage (10 x 230 UK) = 2300W or 2.3kW
2.3kW x 3hrs = 6.9kWh
6.9kWh x cost per unit = cost to pull down 4 degrees.
