liebherr temperature panel not working
Hi!
The green light in the temperature control panel on our liebherr fridge freezer model 7080 (over 8 years old) suddenly went out yesterday evening. Food in freezer compartment slowly defrosting. In fridge only hot air circulating, so all the weekend shopping is starting to go off!! PLEASE can anyone tell me:
1. What is wrong?
2. Can it be repaired?
3. Will it be more economic (in long run) to get new liebherr rather than pay for repair? Other than this disaster, liebherr has worked like a dream for the past 8 years.
Appreciate any advice. Thank you all in advance for any help/advice you can give.

Re: liebherr temperature panel not working
You either have problem with thermostat control or compressor.
If you dont have troubleshooting skills (you need to know how to deal with electrical measurements on safe manner, and you need tools) then you need to call service tehnician to make check of what is wrong and give you estimate on repair costs. Then on you is to decide what is best for you. If something need to be done on refrigerant circuit, then it is probably better to purchase new.

Re: liebherr temperature panel not working
Hi Nike 123
I've been told its £100 just to have engineer came out without looking at faults!!! Gonna be cheaper to buy new fridge. Will never buy liebherr again, their attitude at main office in uk appalling, couldn't care less. This is 2nd liebherr to go wrong with same fault. Thanks for your help
