    trane chiller; starter did not transition



    CAN SOMEONE PLS HELP: THE TRANE CENTRIFUGAL CHILLER IS ALWAYS SHOWING THE FOLLOWING ALARM; STARTER DID NOT TRANSITION...the motor starter is a Y delta with transition resistors...

    On all the relais there is a contacter. If one off those is at fault the controller will give the transition fault. If the chiller is set up as part winding instead of Y-delta the same error will come.
    If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

    i thing this is due to control fault.check compressor contactor and its auxilaries.

    Hi does the chiller go through a contactor check 5 secondes before starting ??
    if it does u have a problem with your auxilary contact that tells the chiller it ended transition .
    if it dosent run the test check your wiring or a burnt coil .
    u could run a test on the staret using the tsest function ,beware to drop the maines before running the test .
