Re: Mollier charts
Taz, a real compression never follows the entropy line. It follows this line only in a theoretical cycle.
Like Sparrow draw it is also not complete correct in a real life cycle.
Sparrow draw a line from the SH he measured after the evaporator to the measured discharge temperature.
With a hermetic and semi-hermetic, you have the additional SH of the heat of the windings and also the friction. So you have to draw your line of SH a little bit longer to incorporate this additional heat and then draw a line to your discharge temperature.
This line will be inclined a little bit to the left and not to the right. Do you know why?
And to be complete, you also have to add after the evaporator SH the pressure drop for the suction line and the presure drop in the service valves. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
