Ebac 2800e dehumidifier sounds like a Tardis

Hi Guys, new to the forum. I am not an expert, just somone look for advice from the experts.

I purchased this ebac 2800e second hand, and it seems to collect water but when the refrigeration kicks in usually after about 10 seconds once on the thing begins to sound like Doctor Who's Tardis?

I have had other dehumidifiers before from ebac, and other models and they dont sound like a tardis? A low rotating huming noise that sounds just like the Tardis when it appears??

No joke guys, any idea's whats going on??
