A friend of mine is currently working on a Trane Unit that is Automated by the Intellipack system
I don't have the model of the unit... approx:.60 ton and near 10 years old..
The unit recently been moved and is gonna replace a Carrier unit...The carier was controlled by a Carrier VVT zoning system who was tranducing the signal to a normal 24volts signal....G-Y1-Y2 ect...
The problem now is:This Trane unit does not use conventionnal signals...The intellipack system is driving the unit by itself...
Any way i could merge the Intellipack with the standard signal..Like a regular thermosat for example...??

Not sure about a 60 ton unit, but the smaller units you can buy a CTI common thermostat interface and hook up a regular stat.

Why not using Trane's controller?
He could use the same wiring for that.
