subcontracting pricing jobs
how much should i be charging for doing work for other companies,i was thinking about £320 a day,or should i be charging per indoor unit,and what about fuel?thanks for any help!

Depends on your location, experience & quite frankly what you can get away with. For a single engineer £320 / day is OTT.
We pay "split" installation engineers about £280-290/day for a man & mate incl travelling but excluding parking / conjestion charges. For a more experienced VRV/F installation engineer & mate £300-£350/day - again depending on experience and type of project.
We would not permit a single engineer to do installation work for us (H&S) so you would have to get yourself a lad / mate to help with the lifting of units etc (and pay him). The exception might be a back to back split at low / ground level with easy road access for the outdoor unit. Unless your are built like a preverbial "brick ****house" you will struggle moving / lifting 90kg twin fan outdoor unit on your own.If in doubt read the instructions. If still in doubt follow them.
