    Faulty ac

    Hi,
l was working on a carrier split expression unit 2.25hp.The unit works for 15mins and cuts out.The unit doesnt have any safetys like lp or hp.Then the indoor unit light flashes 5 times.l`ve checked the fault codes and it say`s it could be the compressor or low refrigerant.l`ve got my guages connected and the pressures are good. l checked the compressor the windings are good and not down to earth also took the amp draw which is also good. But the compressor is pretty hot,if it is going out on internal overload it wont start back within 5min.l`m thinking it might be the indoor coil sensor which is giving a false reading only 70% sure.

Post here your temperature and pressure readings. The "good" doesn't give any value to us.
In order to properly evaluate the system, we need the air in/air out temps for both coils, the suction line and liquid line temps, and the pressures.
Also, before measuring, clean your filters and coils, and check for proper air flow!
