Close Control Definition
Hi There,
I am just wondering if anyone can help me. I am struggling to understand what is meant by the term "close control". I read that it is to keep a room at a specific temp but is this not what auto does on a daikin / mitsi system? Can anyone explain the difference?

Re: Close Control Definition
On auto the fan cycles with the temperature. On close, the fan is on all the time while the cooling/heating cycles on temperature. The stratigy being that if the fan is on all the time you get a better temperature mix in the room, therefor closer control.

Re: Close Control Definition
Also, the thermostats used in close control will have a narrower differential and depending on the system will have better proportional control.
Electric heater elements will normally be used, in stages sometimes, instead of heat pumps because of the time lags etc.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

And chilled water with a 3 port diverting valve for the cooling.
Much better 'close control' than DX but less so with dehumidification.
