Trane 3E5F40 compressor

Hi Everyone,
Just recently joined, but been reading about different probs others have had, great site. Wondering if anyone can help me out with some info on Trane 3E5F40 open drive recip compressor, shaft seal replacement. Maybe an IOM, if there is one? Help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello mate its been a long time since ive done one of these compressors but there are two kinds of shaft seals they have one has a cast iron cover and the other has a steel cover ,the steel cover has two rows of bolts showing and the cast iron has only one row , they are fairly straight forward ,when replacing make sure theres no burs or sharp edges on the key way to catch
