Hi Just supplied a brand new k40 to a pub and it is very slow at making ice only half a bin in 24 hours can anyone help. Thanks phil

may be cutting out on bin stat - give that a tweak.

its difficult to diagnose the machine without actually seeing it, can only throw suggestions at you but as its a new machine i'd try that first

if its sited in a beer cellar it will be cutting of on bin stat adjust the thermostat on the back with the sun symbol on it around to the colder mark

a k40 is essentialy a k20with a larger bin and a heater to bring on refrigeration before ice stat has sensed heat of hotgas
problem is probably padlle or padle swith or heater

where is the machine located? If not bin stat have u checked supply water temperature? Had 1 last week where intake temp was 21 degrees, took a day 2 half fill the bin.

Water supply may inadvertently be connected to a HW feed. Also do not rule out short of gas, although cubes would be thin and watery if that was the problem... Have you checked that the plate is icing up properly, that the pump is running and that water is being distributed evenly via the spray bar ?
