    elmeco slushy machine

    G'day all.

I got roped into looking at a slushy machine on friday, not something i would normally work on.

Unit is an Elmeco model FC2

There are two tubs side by side.

One side works well other side froze up and snapped the split pin of the auger assembly which I replaced after defrosting.

From some information that I obtained from google there is a light on the control panel called the cold telltale light which tells the user that the tub is being refrigerated.

On the tub that is working the cold telltale light cycles on and off which you would expect it to do as the machine cycles.

On the tub that is freezing solid the cold telltale light never comes on no matter where you have the consistancy setting.

I am thinking there may be a sensor fault and as default the machine runs continous cooling when the sensor fails.

With the limited tech backup I have on this machine the only solution may be to swap the two sensors and see if the freezing problem switches to the other tub.

    Any help would be appreciated.
