Oversize Relief Valve
I have an oil pot that needs a relief valve. My calculations say I need a relief valve that has at least a 2.5 lb air/min flow. The smallest relief valve I can find is a 11.11 lb air/min but its 10 weeks out! I have a 40 lbs air/min relief valve in stock. The location has no diffusion tank, nor does it have a common relief header. This relief valve will have a separate line that vents to atmosphere.
Is there a problem if I install this oversize relief valve on this oil pot?

Re: Oversize Relief Valve
You can do it if your pipe away is sized correctly. Did you check with Cyrus Shank? The 800 has 9.34 lbs/min of air @ 250
