r22 used in r407c rooftop unit.

I have a rooftop unit that was accidentally filled with R22. It is labeled R407c, unit now will not work, what needs to be done to get the R22 out and back to R407c?

You do not need to take it out, it will work now better,
Not starting has nothing to do with the type of gas.

At least remove the c o cktail and fill it up with just R22, if you prefer that. Nothing else. POE oil is compatible with R22.

Unit has two compressors one tested w/R407C works , the one now w/ R22 runs but high presser line very hot compared to the R407c and the return line is warm. The air in duct is 75 f.

    joe,

    Why was the unit serviced*?

It could just be having the same symptons it had before it was serviced*.

TXV probably need adjustment, as the bulb is selected for R407c and not R22.

Does the system have both gases in it, R22 and R407C, ??

    - Exactly, If half the evap coil is cold, its starved, go two turns counter clockwise. Adjust from there. If evap coil, and suction line are all same temp back all the way to the compressor, this would be a flooded condition- tighten the txv adjuster clockwise two turns. But none of this will matter unless there is a usable charge of 22 in the system-not over or under charged capice?
