For the CORGIs amongst us.
I see that CORGI is on its last legs, they've lost the bid for the new periods contract; it goes to Capita.

Oh ****ing wonderful.... fees will go up, ineptitude will increase and the public will be totally confused. CORGI wasn't perfect but Capita only has one purpose.. to make vast quantities of cash.. so who benefits?

Re: For the CORGIs amongst us.
Supposedly HSE have said that the new contract will forbid the making on money by the new supplier because of the monopoly position.

Re: For the CORGIs amongst us.
Even better...
Have a look at their website, "THE outsourcing specialist"
What will they come up with??
Call centre in Bangladesh?
Registration dealt with by the cheapest bidder?
On the other hand, can it be much worse than Corgi...

Re: For the CORGIs amongst us.
To be honest, I never had a problem with CORGI and it was a name that the customers knew and trusted, It was good for the RGIs and for the customer, no matter how inefficient they may have been... but then Im the type of guy who cannot use directory inquiries because 192 doesn't exist anymore, get pissed off when some pedantic pratt corrects me when I call the company formerly known as Transco, Transco, really gets pissed off when I cant find which company is responsible for the repairs to a card meter despite the fact that the number is on the meter, have to negotiate with several rail companies to travel a couple of hundred miles across this grotty little island... Too many pigs with their snouts in the trough
