Is this a genuine LG accessory?

Went to a new customer today and saw this.

    Does anybody recognise it?

Is it a genuine LG part?

If so, do you know the part number?

If not, do you know where to get them from?

Is it essential or can it be removed?

Thats the best thing i`ve seen in ages.

    Where does it drain to?
If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.

Yep, Genuine part alright!! Even matches the high wall FCU colour. The weatherproof IP66 rotary isolator is a nice
    touch too.

    Un F****** believable!!
Either that or the Viking has been up to early April 1st jokes.

Viking, send a copy to the ACR magazine - they've just requested "how not to install" pictures from readers - similar to the "hall of Shame" ones on the MyLG site. That one will get 1st prize.
Hang on a minute isn't there an LG theme running here??????
If in doubt read the instructions. If still in doubt follow them.

Your English is worse than mine. It's Pot Plant, not plant pot!

Ah, but they run out of that as it was used as ductwork to take the cold air from their old wall-mounted IMI to the rear of the servers.

Now updated (I've had PC problems and are now starting to get to grips with my new Mac)

    I hope you didn't.

    This was quite a site.

We recently took it over and the guy that was/is doing the first service asked me to come and have a look at a couple of things...

    -The above external drip-tray.
-The previously mentioned ductwork (which btw caused the unit to ice up).
-Artfully designed perspex sheets used as draught diverters below cassettes.
-Evaporative coolers converted to run on mains fed water and installed at high level in the warehouse.

I were (almost) on the floor laughing as we were walking around. That was, until I asked who the previous maintenance people were who had come up with all these solutions.

    The answer?
The customer had done it himself!!
