hello
hi, this is my first time in RE and a plesant hello to everyone.
i am not really in a position to help in addressing your questions because i'm not an expert in refrigeration like most of you guys but rather, i joined this forum for one reason.
i have a biogas at home and i wanted to use the extra fuel that i get to run my refrigerator. is this possible?
thank you in advance...

Re: hello
Hi Joey and welcome to the forum.
Depending on the size of the refrigerator you want and what is available then you could get a gas powered adsorbtion machine.
A quick Google found this as an example

Re: hello
Hi Brian,
Thanks for the immediate reply. The refrigerator is just the size for a household unit or a 7 to 9 cu. ft. ref to be more specific.
Is the gas powered absorption machine you mentioned available commercially? Can this be used to replace the compressor and still retain the same evaporator and condenser of the old unit?
Thanks again,
Joey

Re: hello
Try a Google on 'gas powered refrigerator'.
Unfortunately you cannot simply remove the compressor and install a gas powered unit. The method of heat removal is completely different, it would involve buying a new refrigerator.
A short description of how they work is here...

Here, in the UK, we use them for caravans, RVs and boats as here..
