PLEASE HELP
Recently got a call from a customer with a 15 ton portable water chiller system. This system has developed a leak in the brazed plate heat exchanger used for an evaporator. The sight glass has turned black and I suspect a lot of water has entered into the refrigerant circuit. What would be the most effective way to clean this system up.

I am not going to go into the details of how to clean up water-laden chillers, because I do not work on chillers. But I don't think that I have ever mentioned Big Bertha before, so why not now?
United Refrigeration (NRP) has this nifty drier that has saved my ass many-a-time.

It uses zeolite as the dessicant, and you buy it in a 30-pound or thereabouts bucket. One caution, make sure you install a good outlet filter/drier shell or you will gum up the works with the zeolite powder.
I should get a commission for as many of these devices I have sold simply by showing people what they can do. LOL
