    R410A pressure in air conditioning

hi, anyone familar with R410A. For air conditioning system, R22 pressure in discharge is 250psi and suction in 67psi. But for R410A pressure will be more higher that R22. So what pressure is normal for air-conditioning systems. Besides that normal R22 compressor can replace with R410A refrigerant!

Re: R410A pressure in air conditioning

You don't have a pressure temperature chart?
If you do, air cons on r22 are normally at the pressures you listed, because that's the designed saturation temperatures, r410a systems with be at the same saturation temperatures (indoor temp -20k, outdoor temp ~ +20k)
so an r22 air con running at 67psi LP (4 degrees C) and 250psi HP (~48 deg. C) would be running at the same temps on r410a, which equals 118psi LP and 412psi HP.
No, you can't use an r22 compressor because of the higher pressures and r410a needs a different oil.
R407c is a more direct replacement of r22, still needs a different oil, but would run at 57psi LP and 245psi HP
