Hunting
hi, have a tev that is hunting ,i know its a low refrigerant symtom..is there any other reasons?

Yes but it depends on how old the system is.
If its a working system thats been running for a while then yes SOG would be the obviouse.
If it is a new system then it could mean the valve is sized wrong.
If the valve is two large then it lets two much liquid through so shuts down. The evap the starves of refrigerant so the valve opens up quick, flooding the system.
So repeating the cycle.

Hi there,
The hunting can indicate an oversize TXV.Check the btu rating of the evaporator and the btu rating of the TXV and make sure the match. If in doubt, usually the horsepower of the TXV should be 1/4 hp less than the compressor rationg.
