    Floor insulation

For atypicaal large coldroom, operating at 0degC, with a raised floor (concrete slab below)- I would ensure that the floor in insulated.

    (Besides the higher heat gain)

    Questions
    a) Is there a method to calculate the desire thickness of polyurethane insulation floor panels?
    b) Is ther a formula I could use to calculate if condensation would form. (Ambient temperature belwo the floor would be typically 25oC)

    Thanks

    Re: Floor insulation

Typcailly the floor insulation thickness should be as that of walls. If you are using PUF then for your application 80mm thk is good enough. Ahsrae gives a formula for minimum R value of the insulation. Infact I had posted that table in one of the querries.
