    Hot Water Defrost

    .

I came across an old newspaper from 1955 the other day with this interesting piece on the front page.

January 1955 was a very brisk winter, judging by the headlines.

    For the non-believers...

I have heard of arc welding machines being connected to the re-bar in the concrete floors of freezers to thaw out the frost heave in the floors.
If all else fails, ask for help.

Argus, I see from the headlines that you're not making it up! It's inventive stuff though, I have to say.
And to think this was fifty years ago??? I would never have thought of something so obvious, but I suppose that's because inventive ideas are illegal these days; as they have first to be passed by this board and then that union and Lord knows what governing bodies. And if the people are dying of dehydration. It's their fault after all, as they didn't fill in the paperwork.
