    fault on a sanyo unit

Hi guys, just got a call from a guy at work, who is on call tonight. He got called to a restaurant with 4 indoor sanyo cassettes and one multi out door. The problem is the controller is flashing E04 ( comms error?) problem is im trying to guide him through what to do from here. Iv told him to check the basics i.e power to the outdoor, voltage of the outdoor PCB any blown fuses etc. Are there any sanyo experts around to help as the technical number for sanyo is closed until monday

The 0.6Ma fuse on both PCBs its soldered on
    If this fuse is gone
    Check the control Cable
If this is OK then There is a brown plug on both indoor and outdoor PCB's marked EMG.
This is on the off side of the fuse Make sure all cables are OK as if there is anything wrong with comms cabling this can blow the PCB if this plug is used.

    Providing comms cables are OK

Change the blue comms plug with the pink and blue wires into this EMG socket on Both indoor and outdoor PCB's

If this doesn't work this snip v006 off the outdoor PCB and try again
Would it be the same on a mutli unit?

    Hi Marc,
Do you know what system this is ....SAP or SPW?

Guess as you talk about a controller, it is a wired controller so that it will probably be a SPW system (SAP have Infra Red controls). Any chance of a model # ?
E04 is generally Indoor unit is detecting an error signalled from the outdoor unit: Error in receiving serial communications signal.
