    Prestcold



    Hi there! Does anyone know the KW of a prestcold R750/0138 ?? I have 19 amps but i am going to use a soft start (experiment!!) and i must know the kw...
    The label on the compressor unfortunately is erased from the years... Thanks anyway!!

    I think thats a 7.5HP compressor, is it a big cast iron three cylinder 3ph compressor?

    To be exact i do not know if it has 3 cylinders...the head is big though...you maybe right but i am not sure! Thanks anyway.

    I can convert Kw to hp but i do not know either.... I think that it is 7,5 hp too, if i compare suction-discharge-amps...etc .Thank to all

    The first numbers indicate the horsepower and the last figures (0138) the displacement, the R indicates the body type.

    you can not size your electrical on the nominal hp (which actually only rates to power drawn at a fixed condition) in this case 7.5Hp, you must use your amps for sizing a soft starter, which 19amps max sounds about right 400v 3phase 50hz which would be close to 9.5kw
