R600a
Hi. Iv been looking at some old threads on this subject, but still unsure. im after a drop in hfc replacement for 600a. I just dont like using this gas!. what do you think, change of compressor & new gas, what would be the best option? Thanks Dave .

Hi Dave! I am in South Africa, we use R406a here to use in place of R600a. The whole deal of using R600a is to g et rid of the HFC and CFC gasses now being used, so rather stick to the R600a.

Dave,
why change from R600a?
This seems to be going backwards - eventually HFCs will go, its only a matter of time, but R600a along with all of the other environmentally friendly refrigerants like ammonia and CO2 will be the norm.
