Carrier Compressor

Hi.

I have just signed up.

Can anyone please help me, I am looking for a Compressor for a Carrier system 38YL018, the Compressor number is 0370618X22 / ECF215211A.

I have spoken to Carrier direct and they tell me it is no longer available, they had it in stock when I asked for a price and when I ordered it and chased them up they could no longer supply the compressor? I have also tried HRP and Dean & Wood.

So is there anyone that could either point me in the right direction or happens to have one they are using as a paperweight.

You could try one of the remanufacturing companies listed in trade mags prestons and comptech are two i know of but there in birmingham

Theres one in Reading (Thermagroup), and one near Henly on thames (Aces) www.acescomp.co.uk
, but not sure if they do Carrier. Most will repair your own compressor if they dont have one on the shelf (for a price).

It might be time for someone to bite the bullet and get a new machine.

Old R22 kit is going to be more and more of a problem sourcing spares.

Thermacom are based in Reading but have a branch in Notts as well. They may have a comp in stock or they can re-man the old one.
