Flushing Agent
We have flushed out a system following a mechanical failure with the compressor.
We are having trouble getting the system below 1000microns and feel that there is still flushing agent in the system.
We have done the following:
- blew through flushing agent with nitrogen
- broken the vacuum 4 times
- had all components removed from the system during flushing
- heated up the system to boil off the flushing agent.
We are now about to start up the system with regular liquid line and suction line drier changes.
Anymore ideas???

Re: Flushing Agent
new vac oil and using the 3/8 line instead of the 1/4(if your vac pump has the option) ive found this not saves time but achieves better results quicker for me personally

Re: Flushing Agent
What did you use to flush?
Test the vac pump by putting the vacuum meter on it directly and see if it will pull down futher!
Otherwise do a pressuretest and leave it pressurized for 24 hours. No drop in pressure? Do an other blowtrue with nitrogen, check your hoses and pull it down again!

Re: Flushing Agent
Hi Change the oil in your vac pump and it turns grey again then you still have moisture. What kind of system is it?. Is it possible to drill a hole at the lowest point and drain water as I used to do, but then I am talking big centrifugals.
