Use propane on low cascade and CO2 on high one. I heard something about analog. Do you want to use it for CPU cooling?

    Re: auto cascade

An autocascade is not the same as a cascade.
An autocascade uses the principle of a gas mix (2 or more, even 6) where each is separated frm the others and where each extracted gass then cools its own heat exchanger/gas separator to separate the next gas in then 'diluted mixture'

It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

    Hi Vango,

As Peter said auto cascade is different.
Please have a look at the attached file which is a simple example of auto cascade system.

    Cheers

Hi there, I am new to the forum and I have a question on the auto cascade. I am in the process of building a auto cascade system and I was trying to use R-507 and R-23. In your opinion can I make these work in a system piped accordind to your layout? Are you using a flat plate heat exchanger for phase change? What ratio of refrigerant have you found to work well. More R-23 than 134a?

    Re: auto cascade

    Hi cascader 23.

If you just need -60c, you can go the easy way.

Use ISCEON MO89 which is similar to the R13B1 wich is gone out of business for many Years ago.
That one make easy -60c on a standard system.
Not sold in the US or Canada due to flameable in some conditions.

Wish you all a Happy New YEAR

    Re: auto cascade

ASHRAE Refrigeration Manual had a pretty good explanation and diagram of the auto cascade system.
