Inhibitor for Chilled Water system
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a readily available Inhibitor/Glycol product for a chilled water system (i.e. along lines of antifreeze added to car systems)
System currently drained down for maintenance and I will need to refill system.
Most of pipework is plastic but there is also steel and copper present.
System only used during summer months to supply airhandler unit.
Grateful for source and product name.
Thanks, Adrian.

The brands I have experience with are manufactured by Dow Chemical.
If your process is for air conditioning only, you may be able to use DowTherm SR-1.

If your process is food related, then you will have to use DowFrost.

Do not use ANY type of automotive antifreeze. I had the unfortunate opportunity to work on a system where the contractor tried to save a few $$'s and created an awful mess!If all else fails, ask for help.
