UK F Gas rules to change
The F Gas regulations move onwards.
In the UK, DEFRA has begun a 3 month consultation on the first lot of UK Statutory Instruments that define the offences and penalties.
If you handle, or dispose of F gases, or work on any refrigeration or heat pump systems, this will affect you.
In particular, read Part 3 and Schedule 1 of the SI.
Links to the main documents are below:

The consultation is due to end in August; it will probably be made into law later this year, unless Gordon calls a snap election…….

I'm sure of that; my boss is currently grumbling about having the re-van us to enable proper transportation of gases etc.

Re: UK F Gas rules to change
Ask a silly question and i will get a silly answer to start typing lads.
Who actually polices all these rules. I have never heard of anyone being prosicuted for venting gas or doing anything else banned by montreal.
Has anyone ever been caught - Now BEFORE anyone starts on about about doing it the correct way, I always DO abide by the rules, and tell everyone to also do so but we all know there are cowboys out there who have never sent a full reclaim cylinder back for disposal

Re: UK F Gas rules to change
The text of the draft will tell you - that's what it's for.
Not yet under the new law because it isn't passed yet and applies only to Fluorinated gases. (HFCs).
As for the previous regulations on venting ODS and Hazardous Waste, you can apply for the statistics under the Freedom of Information Act.
Please let us know when you find out.
