    HNC vs NVQ3

Am considering either the NVQ3 or the HNC next year.

Found the NVQ2 fairly helpful would welcome any comments on the level 3 course or the HNC.

I am a sole trader running a small firm, mostly air conditioning.

The industry will recognise the NVQ III over the HNC if you want to work the tools.
You need a Level III to be able to commision a system to industry standards.
HNC is good and HND but people who need them tend to be design and technical.

    Cheers taz.

Did you make up your mind Contactor? I'm in the same boat now but i think i'm going for the NVQ3 over the HNC. Let me know if you have chose one and what it's like.

You can't take the HNC until you have the NVQ3. It's part of the qualifying criteria.

As Taz said, the HNC is more for the design engineer.

    (P.S. I've got both - and then more )
