Regal Bio A/C -- Stopped Cooling
This thing just bailed on me. So it all started two days ago. The A/C stopped cooling, the compressor stopped running, but the fan was ok. A few minutes later the A/C unit turned off by itself. Now I got myself an electric blower and cleaned the compressor from all the dust it's accumulated, and I also suspected that it may have something to do with a faulty capacitor, so I had that changed too. It worked fine afterwards, but just a few hours later it stopped cooling then turned off by itself all over again. What am I missing here?

Re: Regal Bio A/C -- Stopped Cooling
Welcome, don't know this brand but have you checked the compressor windings after it has stopped?
Should have started here really, is it the controls turning off the compressor or is it the compressor klixon activating?Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK
